SEM Evaluation of the Hybrid Layer of Two Universal Adhesives on Sound and DI Type II Affected Dentin

Universal nanofilled adhesives were recently introduced in restorative dentistry to simplify clinical procedures and improve adhesion different situation. This study investigated the effectiveness of two universal on both sound dentinogenesis imperfecta type II (DI-II)-affected teeth. To evaluate DI-II-affected teeth, four samples, extracted molars affected by DI-II selected. Coronal enamel dentin exposed, samples used for testing adhesives, Bond (Tokuyama) All-Bond (Bisco). After adhesive procedures, stored saline at room temperature one week prior SEM investigation interfacial bonding layer. The longitudinally sectioned into parts, obtaining sections evaluation interface SEM. SEM-morphology hybrid layer was similar tested. confirmed great versatility managing even pathological dental substrates. Both tested showed encouraging results dentin, creating an effective atubular less mineralized altered dentin.
